General Finding new places to play?

Where do you find places to play? Advertising and the like tends to be the higher profile places, but they aren't always the best. Some of the best terms for play in Vegas is off the strip, and in the town I grew up in the serious players didn't go near the beachfront casinos, which were there to take the tourists (to the cleaners). So how do you find new places? Word of mouth, forums, or adverts?

Word of mouth has always worked for me. I have a circle of friends that love to gamble and every time they go visiting, they ensure to come back with sufficient info. Online reviews are also good, especially when looking to play online.

Word of mouth is a great method and so is google. Though in all honesty where I live you pass by casinos all day, so I'm aware of most of the ones where I live.

If you search for casinos near you on google you'll get a list of casinos that will probably be accompanied by location, reviews, and ratings.
