General Using money set aside for another purpose

Have you ever run into such a mistake? I once had such an experience and my thoughts were so fixed on doubling or tripling that amount but I ended up losing the whole amount.

Later on, I was able to recoup what I had lost and had I not realized my mistake, I believe this would have been the beginning of gambling addiction.

It is such a bad investment decision. Players should always stick to a budget.

No I only ever gamble for fun with a bit of pocket change. I am not a high roller and always make sure the bills are paid first. It's a slippery slope if you start to do that.

Every gambler, more or less, makes this mistake but what's of importance is the ability to stick to a budget. I always tell myself that if I have to continue gambling, then it has to be against my winnings. It is wrong to go out of your way to invest more when as a player, you are losing consecutively.

I can understand the guilt. It's a probably a mistake all gamblers ever did once because we were high on luck. I did it once and regretted it since. It's easy to flow with the situation when it happens, so we need to constantly remind ourselves.

I used to be fond of this as a novice but any sensible gambler gets some sense into the head along the way and realizes that discipline and self-control are important virtues.

I once lost a huge sum forcing me to get into debts so as to clean my mess. I learned the hard way not to gamble with money meant for other purposes.

No I only gamble with the money that I have planned for and set aside to gamble with. You have to make sure the life things are covered and paid for before having some fun gambling.

Very good advice for anyone thinking of gambling. Most never head it.

Yeah I think you only need to get carried away once and make a mistake like this and then you can really end up in some trouble. Be smart guys. Don't get carried away.

Almost every gambler makes this mistake but it is good advice to always learn from our mistakes.

I guess addiction can sometimes drive people to do crazy things.

Once beaten, twice shy but for some reason, there are folks who get stuck in such habits and eventually end up in a huge mess.

It's really sad that some people can get carried away and end up getting themselves into real trouble financially. Just a few hours or evenings out of control can wind up ruining years.

You can see how some people can get sucked in and can get carried away though. I've been in a situation a couple of times when I've been tempted to carry on when I've kniw. I shouldn't!
