Poker Too loose a play

Playing too many hands has been described (in many quarters) as loose play. I used to do this when I was getting started in Poker. Overall. you will notice that this is common with recreational players. Nonetheless, I have seen this with the more advanced players, who believe that they can outplay their opponents. Is folding really cowardly? I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Interestingly, this is one of those things that generates divided opinion. A person that folds too often is considered a coward in most quarters. Such people are easily bullied.
