Blackjack Team play vs Solo?

I always play solo as do most of the players I know, but @Stealth used to run blackjack team. How does team play differ from playing alone? Are there any considerations about the effect of one player's play on other members of the team, or is it less formal than that and everyone does their best for themselves?

I think with team play, there are more variables including the varying talents of the players as well as the number of team players. As much as I wouldn't mind being in any team, my preference would be for one that has flexibility and creativity amongst the members.

Since team play relies on the law of large numbers and a large combined bankroll to win, protocols for play are meticulously designed and tailored to the game rules and conditions offered.

The most important team attribute is integrity which makes comfort among members slow to evolve. The team may give you 10,000-20,000 for a weekend of play and all the other members need confidence that you played correctly and the results are as they occurred.

The easiest attribute to confirm is the players technical ability. We have elaborate certification processes for that.

Other attributes such as a players persona that makes it harder for surveillance to determine they are playing with an advantage are also important. All players are not suited for all roles.

Trips to various areas are scheduled monthly. Sessions are reported to team manager, and for all to see, via messaging immediately upon leaving a table.

A public venue is not the place for a detailed description of "how we play". Sorry.

The main driving force towards people working in teams is the attempt to turn the house advantage into an advantage of the players. Do you guys think 'spooking' works in the modern era of the game?

No, the main advantage to teams is the ability to smooth the risk with a larger bankroll and the ability to have more people playing to get enough rounds to reach the long term (law of large numbers).

Getting the "advantage" over the house can be done by any individual card counter.

There are many legal casino "plays" that the advantage player can beat if they know what they are and how to implement them. Spooking (seeing the dealers hole card) is one of them. To beat this opportunity you must have a different "basic strategy" that adjust for both better information and higher surveillance. Be very careful.

While most "card counters at blackjack" get backed off from playing blackjack, hole carders and team players are more likely to get trespassed.

There are obviously many illegal means to cheat the casinos. I do not participate in, nor will any of my players, any of these.

I wouldn't know for sure how it works playing in a team, but I do know that I prefer to play alone even if it might be to my advantage to join a team.

And there is nothing wrong with that.........

Just do your homework and training and make sure you are properly bankrolled.
