The local horse track will start the races next month and I will be hitting the track. I am fairly new to betting on horses and can use some tips from people with more experience. Do you bet on more than one horse or stick to one a race? How do you choose a horse?

Well, for a start, stick to one horse. If you are very new as you say, take time to learn the ropes and examine everything you need to know very closely. When I first set foot on a horse racing track, all I wanted to do was just watch the races and have a feel of everything.

That's a good idea. I have been trying to study up to see what to do but watching the races and getting a feel for everything seems like a good start. I have friends who go all the time so maybe I can go with them and watch to see what they do too.

The track here has already hosted some horse races! They do not waste time when it comes to their horse racing. I just moved here so I don't know if they do dog racing too. I don't really want to see that 'cause it makes me sick to see the dogs so skinny!

We don't have dog racing around here, we just have the horse tracks. According to the website they will start the races on October 18. I am thinking that we don't have many horse races over the summer here because of the heat.
