Slots Slots becoming more like video games

I read an article last night about the future of slots and how casinos are trying desperately to hold on to the younger customers whose attention span is very short and that they are introducing a different kind of slot machines which are currently being tested. What do you think about that? Will it work or will people still prefer the old ones?

I am not surprised if that's what they are doing. When most people think of slots they imagine old people sitting at some machine pulling the lever all day but this next generation of customers is used to playing more interactive and seriously graphic games and that will probably not be enough to hold their attention for long.

Slot machines change regularly as the market changes, so I'm not surprised. The large lever was removed from most a while back for buttons, and because it lets more machines fit on the floor and casinos to get faster plays in. They've added ergonomics, so why not change the play to keep a new generation's attention?
