@Tredger asked about getting a Royal Flush, not winning. You don't need a Royal Flush to win, you just need one of the winning combinations. A Royal Flush is like hitting the jackpot at slots, and it doesn't happen often.Wow. Those stats are totally disheartening. Can anyone tell me again what the point of playing this game is then if there is no chance of winning in the long run?
The odds are against you seeing one in an evening of play. One example I've seen said that if you play 300 hands an hour, and play ten hours a week, you might see one in three months. If the odds are 40,390 to one, then that's how many hands you'd need to play to maximise chances so your bankroll would need to cover minimum buy-in for 40,390 hands, but remember it is random so you could play for years and never see one.
Thanks for that clarification, Sevens. I was wondering about that question as well. Video poker has quite the learning curve, doesn't it?
