I want to start playing craps. It's one game that I have so far stayed away from at the casino.
What is the best way to get used to this game as I have never played before?
***I was shown the game by a money throwing, heavy drinker, (loads of fun!) He actually did well under the circumstances. I fell in love with the excitement and the game and started going and playing by myself. One thing is the stick men & money handlers will assist you if you place an improper bet or help you here n there to place a "smarter bet" from time to time. It's a complicated game and there is a lot going on, so it is to be expected. I read "Scarne's Complete Guide to Gambling" and learned SO much about the game including the different possible number combinations, (36), which numbers come up more often because of more possible combinations, (7 first, that is why it is the casino's number) followed by 6&8, 5&9, 4&10 and so on. It actually creates a pyramid, pretty cool. One thing I have learned...bet simple and bet the same way over and over. Pass Line, then after point number is established play the Odds, (it's not "advertised" because it pays more!) I bet on Come and will throw $6 or $7 on point numbers 6 & 8 as they are rolled 2nd best to the 7. There are lots of "sucker bets", stay away from those, they are effective in losing your money fast! If I have lots of $1 chips I will bet a "yo 11" here and there, this is a one time roll bet, but if the shooter lands an 11 it pays $15! Just toss a dollar chip on the table and say "yo 11" they got you! Read the book and never play against the shooter, it's bad karma!
"FRONT LINE WINNER!"
