Casinos Tipping etiquette

It is obvious that a tip makes a huge chunk of a dealer's income but the question that confuses most gamblers (including myself) is how much is enough? From what I've heard and perhaps experienced, tipping is never a must in cash games. In such instances, people say that a gambler should never be pressurized to tip. Should a tip in cash games be given based on service rendered?

There are a few people saying one or two low value tokens per win is reasonable. If the dealer's doing something special for you, like keeping your seat while you take a break or looking after your chips, tipping extra for the service makes sense. Some places say that tipping the dealer well will help players avoid being turned in for card counting!

For sure you cannot fail to tip a dealer who's going the extra mile to give exceptional service. I like the part where you say that tipping can help players not get turned in. I guess they'd get fired if the patrons ever found this out :)
